Our Small Block Plane Holsters are made to fit most commonly available small block planes, such as the Stanley and Lie-Nielsen 102 block planes and the Veritas Apron Plane. They are designed to be mounted on a vertical surface such as a shop wall, inside a tool chest, or on the side of a workbench.

  • Small block plane holder will accommodate any small block plane with an overall width of 1 3/4”

  • Three holes for mounting securely with brass screws (included)

  • Wet moulded 8-10 oz. Vegetable tanned Bridle leather

  • Open at the bottom to allow for wood shavings, dust, and debris to pass through.

Our Small Block Plane Holsters are designed to hold most of the popular small block planes such as the Stanley and Lie-Nielsen 102 block planes and the Veritas Apron Plane. The Small Block Plane Holster can accommodate any small block plane with an overall width of 1-3/4" or less. Just like the Large Block Plane holster, the Small Holster is constructed with 8-10oz. Vegetable tanned Bridle Leather that has been wet moulded for ideal fit and finish. The entire assembly is held together with durable saddle stitching using waxed thread. The Small Block Plane Holster mounts to vertical surfaces using three brass screws(included). The end of the Small Block Plane Holster is left open to allow shavings, dust, or debris to pass right through. It also allows for easier maintenance, allowing you to properly oil the inside as well as the outside of the holster during routine maintenance. Oiled leather is better at repelling ambient moisture. Less moisture equals less corrosion! We recommend lightly oiling the leather once every few months, more in extreme conditions. Standard leather oils such as Neatsfoot Oil work just fine.
